USED - Winchester Model 190 – 20.5” Barrel – 15+1 – Walnut Stock - CALIBER 22 S/L/LR – $194.00
The Model 190 (and its fancier cousin, the 290) was a long-running model for Winchester. Production ran from 1967 – 1980 and around 2.1 million rifles were manufactured in that time period. Our rifle wears serial # 629345 but we’re unable to provide an exact year when it was made.
The 20.5” carbine model is a semi-automatic that will fire Short, Long and Long Rifle cartridges. The tube magazine holds 15 rounds of Long Rifle. The rear sight is adjustable and the front sight is fixed.
The receiver is an alloy. A cross-bolt safety sits near the trigger guard. The plain stock is walnut and has a black Winchester buttpad.
The wood is in Excellent condition, as is the buttpad. The metal finish is mostly intact but the barrel does have some areas of minor pitting. The bore is clean and the barrel is bright. The rifling appears to be strong. The trigger is a bit heavy but that typical of the 190 model.
If you’d like an inexpensive, vintage Winchester, the 190 would fit well in your collection.
