Our pistol was manufactured in Belgium by FN Herstal and then imported into the United States by Browning. The serial number of 81137 is stamped on both the left side of the slide and then frame. It’s also stamped I75 immediately following the serial number in both places. The I75 marking indicates International model, produced in 1975 and is verified by Browning.
The pistol is chambered for 22 Long Rifle. The barrel is 5-15/16” long. Finish is a matte black. The grips are a stippled wood, adjustable target model. A factory attached barrel weight is underneath the barrel. A manual safety and the slide release are on the left side of the frame. The trigger is a very attractive gold. Trigger pull is light and easy, as you’d expect from a target pistol.
The bore is minty and clean. The barrel is very bright and the rifling is strong. The metal finish is Near Mint. The grips look new as well. Overall, this is very much a Near Mint, hard to find Belgian-made pistol. Whether this one will be the new target shooter or just a looker to put in the display case, this pistol fills either role equally nicely.
