This Remington 870 Magnum is a Ducks Unlimited “The Mississippi”. To the best of our knowledge, we believe that this is the only time that Remington has produced the 870 with a 32 inch vent rib barrel. Ours is from 1982 and has serial number DU82 7406. It’s chambered for 3 inch 12 Gauge shells. The receiver is engraved with “The Mississippi” on the left side and “Ducks Unlimited” on the right.
A bead sight sits at the end of that 32 inch, Full choke barrel. Wood is a checkered pistol grip stock and a checkered forearm. A Remington ventilated buttpad sits at the end of the stock.
Action is smooth, as you’d expect from an 870. The bore is good and the barrel is bright. There are a couple of minor areas of finish loss, primarily on the magazine tube and the right side of the barrel, just above the forearm. Wood is Good with some normal signs of use. The receiver is Very Good but with a small scratch on the top right side. Overall, this is a Good – Very Good vintage shotgun that is not commonly seen. If you need a magnum shotgun that will reach out long distances, take a good look at this one.
We are an FFL dealer so, ALL Rifle/Shotgun BUYERS MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, HAVE A CURRENT/VALID DRIVERS LICENSE OR LTC. NON LTC HOLDERS REQUIRE FBI BACKGROUND CHECK.
