original stainless steel Mini-14 "factory folder". While there are many imitations out there, this is the real deal. Gun is chambered in .223 with an 18.5" barrel. S/N is 185-44454 dating the gun to 1987.
The gas block has a swing swivel on the side, just as you'd expect from a true factory folder. Non-factory folders have the sling swivel underneath the gas block. I believe these came in three variants:1. A short birdcage flash hider version w/mid-barrel, clamp-on style front sight, 2. A long bird-cage flash hider version w/blade style front sight, and 3. A non-threaded version with blade-style front sight. This gun being the latter.
The firearm is in excellent shape and a great shooter. It's surprisingly comfortable and accurate. Draws tons of attention at the range, especially when hip-firing. Comes with 2 magazines. I believe one is a 10rd and the other is a 30rd but don't quote me on that.
