Up for sale is a 1915 Colt New Service revolver. This was part of a contract delivered to the British Army during the First World War prior to United States entry. Originally chambered in .455 Webley/Eley, the revolver’s cylinder chambers were extended to accommodate the .45 Long Colt round when it was reimported into the US in the mid 20th century. The back strap features British military markings “W 5.23 NR 11”. This handgun lacks the unsightly import marks that many revolvers of this type received when reimported years later, and the only visible post war modification is a respectable roll mark on the barrel denoting that it’s now chambered in .45 Colt. The finish is a military blue that has some light holster wear to the cylinder and frame side plate, but overall the revolver is in very good condition. $600 cash in person only. Will consider trades toward M14 parts or NVGs. I will NOT ship and if asked I will instantly consider you a scammer and your number will be BLOCKED.
