CMP M1 garand 1944 “A” hand punched serial number for sale in Dallas Texas

I found my holy grail Garand and no longer need this. It looks almost correct and was rebuilt at some point. Feb 43 build, Jan 44 barrel. Barrel measures 1 in the throat and 1 in the muzzle. Shiny bright bore. Stock is a Springfield EMCF marked with small cross cannons and circle p. Handguards match perfectly. See pics for parts markings. This is rare as its heel was marked with an “A” by a unit armorer for a duplicate serial number in the unit. The soldier made two attempts to strike it as is evident. The cmp certificate lists the “A” in the in the serial number so that’s how they received it. Shoots excellent. I’m offering it up here and another forum before it goes to the broker.
