Up for SALE today and ready for your collection is a CMP Rack Grade .30-06 Springfield Armory M1 Garand likely made in 1952 or 1953, during the Korean War. This rifle has some receiver and other part pitting (such as the sights and operating rod) but otherwise is only cosmetic and is in decent condition for its age and functions well. It has large parts including a 6528287-SA US1 bolt, a D28290-12-SA trigger housing and a D35382 SA operating rod. Its barrel is a Line Material Rifle (LMR) June 1953 barrel which are prized for their accuracy. This barrel is very shiny with deep rifling. It also has a USGI stock with a rack number of 284, SA JLG stamp, ordnance wheel with crossed cannons cartouche and circle P firing proof stamp.
Overall with its history, fit and condition, this rifle will make for a good shooter or collector piece to add to your collection.
Included in this purchase is the complete rifle, enbloc clip, CMP hard case, chamber flag, safety pamphlet and the original CMP certificate which will have my name taken off.
