The top rear of the barrel is marked ''THE W.H.DAVENPORT FIRE ARMS CO. NORWICH CONN U.S.A.'', ''PATENTED AUG 11 1896'', the lower tang is marked with the S/N. Bore is very good & bright. The barrel holds a bead front sight. The stock carries a checkered plastic buttplate with family crest.
